Tutorials
have a formative goal and can be either short (3
hours) or long ones (6 hours). A tutorial
proposal must include an abstract of 200 to 300
words and should be accompanied by the following
information:
· Tutorial
title;
· Author(s)
name(s);
· Author(s)
contacts - postal address, electronic address,
phone and fax;
·
Conference subjects related to the tutorial;
· Keywords
(maximum 6);
· Short
Curriculum Vitæ (100 to 200 words for each
author).
The
selected authors will receive a "tutorial
speaker kit", including suggestions for the
production of slides that will be distributed to
all tutorial participants and other information.
The QUATIC 2007 organization will provide copies
of the slides of the tutorials to all tutorial
participants. The organization will also have
the possibility of selling extra copies of the
slides to conference participants who are not
able to attend the tutorial, but may be
interested in the talk.
Tutorial
speakers will receive an additional financial
compensation on account of their effort in
preparing the tutorial materials, proportional
to the number of registered attendees on the
tutorial, beyond the minimum possible number of
registered attendees. A tutorial will be
cancelled if it has less than 6 registered
attendees, or if the tutorial speaker does not
provide the slides to the organization before
the deadline for tutorial materials submission.
The
abstract of each tutorial will be included in
the proceedings of QUATIC 2007. All tutorial
speakers will be offered a complimentary free
participation in QUATIC 2007 in the day of the
tutorial, including lunch.
Different
approaches to tutorial organization must be
justified to the QUATIC 2007 Program Committee
Chair, who will select, together with the
Tutorial Chair and amongst all the received
proposals, those that will run in QUATIC 2007.
Tutorial proposals should be sent to the
Tutorials Chair
